Leopard Romper

Like rompers?  If so, what do you think about this revamp of an item that I wore in the winter last year?  This is a new way to wear the garment for the summer.  I paired it with a floral print scarf of which I purchased for $9 at Forever 21.  I purchased these platforms from a boutique in San Juan, Puerto Rico 3 and a half years ago when I went with my mom and sister.  I love the gingham lining in the shoes.

Thanks again to my sister-in-law for taking my photos for this post!!!

Oh yeah...Project Runway Season 9 premieres on July 28th at 9PM/8C.  Check it out...I definitely will be!  :)

I hope that you are enjoying your week!

Its Black, its White!

I currently have 31 fans via Bloglovin’, 44 via Facebook, 46 via Twitter, and 112 via Google Connect.  Thanks so much to you all for your support!  I really enjoy blogging as my fashion journal.

I’m a big fan of the classic colors – black and white!  I’ve had this linen dress for over 7 years now and I still get my active wear out of it during the spring and summer months.  I scored these Joey O pumps from the Goodwill for $6 and these vintage earrings for $4...great finds!!!

Big thanks to my sister-in-law for snapping these photos for me!

Thrifting/School Shopping for Under $150!!!

This past Saturday, me and my sister-in-law went shopping for school clothes early.  I love thrift store shopping and we were working with a tight budget, but stumbled across some AMAZING buys from the Goodwill and local consignment stores.  We also saved Forever 21, Burlington Coat Factory and Charlotte Russe as our last stops.  She purchased 4 pairs of shoes, 7 shirts, 1 sweater, tons of jewelry, sunglasses, 1 belt and 2 purses.  Keep in mind that the sunnies were a free gift due to the shoe purchase at Charlotte Russe.

We came in $3 under budget!!!

Check out some of G's great buys below.

Sorry for all of the photos, but I had to share all of her finds with you.

Summer Tea Party

Hat & Dress: Vintage; Shoes: Aldo; Anklet: Untitled
We all get so busy that it's hard to catch up with your good friends....sooooooooo I decided to host a summer tea party.  My hubby is a chef, so he made lots of yummy snacks and my good friend, Candace, who wasn't able to make it sent us some wonderful, yummy cookies!

The dress code consisted of party dresses and a hat!!!  I got so inspired by watching the Royal Wedding and the Kentucky Derby, that I wanted a chance to wear one.  I would definitely host another tea party again!

I decided to wear a 60s look for a vintage overhaul.  I've owned this dress for over 12 years now of which I purchased in Jacksonville, FL at a vintage boutique.  The brand is Miss Elliette (California).  I hear she was the Coco Chanel of America!

Enjoy the photos.

And special thanks to Ericka for making the YouTube clip!
